It has many daily benefits that you can experience and enjoy. When it\u2019s done from a spiritual state of mind, practicing gratitude can help you to feel closer in your relationship with God.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, if you\u2019re feeling \u201cstuck,\u201d lonely, or you\u2019re just worried about things not being perfect, you can focus on being grateful and the benefits you\u2019ll receive from that practice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-gratitude-works\">Why Gratitude Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There has been so much research on gratitude and how adopting an \u201cattitude of gratitude\u201d can benefit people in recent years. Gratitude is shown to be immensely effective for these reasons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It shifts your attention from negative to positive<\/li><li>You feel more satisfied when you express it<\/li><li>It <strong>trains your brain<\/strong> to experience more gratitude<\/li><li>You\u2019ll notice that it continues to grow over time<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to keep in mind that gratitude is often referred to as a <strong>practice<\/strong>. Sometimes, you\u2019ll really have to work at being grateful for things, and it won\u2019t always be easy. But, if you find yourself working hard toward it now, you\u2019ll also notice that it will get easier over time. When you make gratitude a priority, your whole thought process will shift. Remember, that\u2019s more than just positive thinking, it\u2019s a change in the way you see things.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-benefits-of-being-grateful\">Benefits of Being Grateful<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So, what can gratitude do for you? There are mental, emotional, and physical benefits to practicing gratitude each day. Some of the most common rewards you can reap include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Improvement in your mood<\/li><li>Less likely to focus on material possessions<\/li><li>More energy<\/li><li>Better overall physical health<\/li><li>More restful sleep<\/li><li>A higher level of resiliency<\/li><li>More patience with everyday annoyances<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The list doesn\u2019t end there. You\u2019re bound to experience benefits that feel very personal to you, which will make you crave that attitude of gratitude even more. It might sound silly to say that practicing gratitude can make you happier, but that\u2019s actually at the top of many researcher\u2019s lists, too!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best part? That doesn\u2019t mean you just have to think happy thoughts and everything \u201cbad\u201d goes away. It means you can take the negative aspects of your life and continue to find the silver linings, and be grateful for all experiences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-can-i-be-more-grateful\">How Can I Be More Grateful?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not always easy to feel grateful, especially when things aren\u2019t exactly going to plan. But, there are things you can do each day to put gratefulness into practice and start to experience some of the benefits listed above.
